Keto Meatball Delight
These meatballs are great for low-carb dinners because they are keto-friendly and full of flavor. These are sure to become a favorite because they have both savory spices and gooey melted cheese.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- 1 cup sugar-free marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish optional
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes if using
Mix until well combined
Form mixture into meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Bake meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through
Once cooked, remove meatballs from the oven and switch the oven to broil setting
Spoon marinara sauce over each meatball and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese
Return the baking sheet to the oven and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly
Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired before serving
